What do blackjack dealers mumble when they ask a player to split a new deck?

Whenever I play blackjack in Vegas, the dealers will ask the players to insert a plastic card into each new deck before they shuffle it. When they do this, they usually mumble something to the player and I can’t for the life me figure out what they say. To me, it’s sounds like “chumpa cha.”

Thoughts?

Thanks

    I see one possibility

Dealers are instructed to call out certain events to the pit, one event that is not mandatory by all dealers in all casinos, but may have been in the past and perhaps the dealers are still in the habit of saying it is….

    “shuffle check”

They will call this when completing a shuffle and inserting it into a shoe, which coincidentally happens a few seconds after you insert the cut card.

The dealers are probably supposed to say it under their gaming license, but the pit probably doesn’t care or gets annoyed by it, so they just mumble it instead.

I have cut a lot of shoes in my days, if somebody ever asks you if they can use the cut card, give it to them, they most likely can do things with it that you cant, and if not, you are not better or worse off than you were by cutting it yourself since your cutting blindly.

Hmmm.. Kinda sounds like “shuffle complete” lol.. I believe the only time the player cuts the cards is after the shuffle..

They ARE saying “shuffle check”, and the pit bosses DO care. It’s done for several reasons but the MAIN reason they’re required to do this is so that the bosses have the opportunity to make SURE the cards DO get cut. Otherwise it would be a relatively simple matter for a dishonest dealer to rig the deck, have one of his friends sit down, and deal him a winning hand.
